Uczenie przez imitację

Imitation learning · id imitation

Nauka działania z demonstracji.

Learning to act from demonstrations.

In one sentence

To uczenie programu lub robota działania na podstawie pokazów wykonania zadania.

This teaches software or a robot to act using demonstrations of a task.

Problem it solves

Łatwiej pokazać dobre wykonanie niż opisać wszystkie reguły i oceny potrzebne do samodzielnego odkrycia sposobu działania.

Showing good performance is easier than describing every rule and score needed to discover how to act independently.

What it does

Wykorzystuje obserwacje i ruchy z pokazów, naśladuje zachowania lub odtwarza ich cel, czasem prosząc człowieka o korekty nowych sytuacji.

It uses demonstrated observations and actions, imitates behaviour or infers its goal, sometimes seeking human corrections in new situations.

Everyday example

Pokazujesz ramieniu robota odkładanie kubka na półkę, a zapis obrazu i ruchów służy do uczenia podobnych czynności.

You demonstrate placing a cup on a shelf with a robot arm, and recorded images and movements help teach similar actions.

This concerns you if you…

• potrafisz zebrać pokazy poprawnego wykonania zadania
• trudno ręcznie opisać zasady dobrego działania
• can collect demonstrations of correct task performance
• find good action rules difficult to describe manually

Subtopics

• Imitacja z korektą eksperta (DAgger) (Interactive imitation learning (DAgger)): An expert labels correct actions in states reached by the learning policy, and the new examples are added to the dataset. This mitigates compounding error in behavioural cloning.
• Klonowanie zachowań (behavioral cloning) (Behavioural cloning): Supervised learning on observation→action pairs from demonstrations. It is a foundational way to learn robot policies from demonstrations; a weakness is compounding error outside the distribution represented in the data.
• Odwrotne RL i imitacja adwersarialna (IRL, GAIL) (Inverse RL and adversarial imitation): Instead of copying actions, recover the goal (reward) that explains expert behaviour, or train a policy so a discriminator cannot tell it from the demonstrations.
• Polityki generatywne (Diffusion Policy, ACT) (Generative action policies (Diffusion Policy, ACT)): The policy generates whole chunks of future actions with a generative model (diffusion, flow matching, transformer), capturing the different ways demonstrators perform a task.
